I think I want a rental.
The thing about home ownership is that things break. The good news is that our furnace is our third source of heat, so as long as the pellet stove and gas heaters work, we’re good to go. But I’m starting to not like home ownership, at least in our current form. Condos are starting to sound nice, or even an in-shape rental unit without ownership responsibilities. Maybe I’m getting a little tired of maintenance, and the whole concept of stewardship. And there’s the new job. Despite my impatience with speed of learning, it’s going well. But I haven’t had time to write, or do much of anything, except to gripe about the furnace. Maybe tomorrow morning, if I get up early enough, I’ll get an hour or so of writing in. And have some time to get all the “everything else” done. What I really want to do right now is to look at real estate sites for rental units. One day I hope to live in a small house, and I’d be happy to own that. Here’s a link to my dream:
If I ever get to be a successful writer, that’s the kind of home I want.
Sorry to be so disjointed in this post, It’s what I am today.
