Finding Home

It’s not over.

In our house, it is still the Christmas season. Our nativity scene is still up, as is our tree. You don’t have to look hard to find chocolate treats and sugar cookies laying around. Sure the holiday tide is going out, but it’s early days. Our post-Christmas guests left yesterday. They have a sweet little Maltese named Max. It was a pleasure to have all of them in the house. Perhaps the new year will bring another little dog into our lives. Tigger has been gone for six months now. I still expect him to be home waiting for me when I get home from work. Anyway, Max reminded me of what I was missing. But there’s not much more that I’m missing. I have everything I need, except an ending to Raising Evangeline, and I trust the writing process enough to know that too will come. Please enjoy these days of the Christmas season. Think about what you have. Celebrate the love in your life. Sing along with Bing. It’s not over.
