It’s time to fly, little bird!

Just finishing up Vinehart Farm, trying to keep my deadline of June 30 to submit it to Curiosity Quills before I go on vacation. I worked on it last night, and the main characters just resolved their first big fight. What do you do when everybody knows who did it except the cop, and no one knows how to tell him to stop trying to solve the mystery? And what if the cop doesn’t want to stop? What if he is legally bound to keep searching? Anyway, the end is in sight. Meanwhile, I’m trying to get my book image back on Amazon. Let’s see how good their customer service is. And some dates for you: June 21 at 2 PM at White Birch Books in North Conway, NH, June 22 at 1 PM at Phoenix Books on Church Street in Burlington, July 5th at 11 AM at Haymaker Card and Books in Morrisville, VT, and Longfellow Books in Portland, sometime in September. These are book signing dates, and I’m very excited about all this activity. The latest feedback I’ve received re Peace Cottage is that it should have been longer. Well, Vinehart Farm is definitely longer, so hang in there. Maybe it will be out in October? It’s time to push Vinehart Farm out of the nest. I just hope that its wings are fully developed!

Good for you for being able to stay on track. Good for you to be able to see the end of your next book. I am so impressed with your ability to focus.

Wanting a book to be longer is another way of saying “I didn’t want it to end.” I only find that statement to be true when I have loved a book. I haven’t started it yet but it has arrived here in my house and I can hardly wait to dive into it.
